In the midst of knowing God in this journey there have been many times in the chaos where I have wondered where to find His voice . Through many uncertain moments I have learnt to lean into His protection ....Ask Him to fight for me ...to ahead of my path and prepare the way on my behalf. He is the ultimate dreamer and lover of my soul . I can not even fathom the dreams that He has for me .In my journey in Australia I have had to invite Jesus into every area of life ,He has done above and beyond what I could imagine .Every step has been ordained and ordered of Him and in that place I am under His covering .
This support letter will be very different from most . Let me cast a little bit of vision of what S.A.L.T ministries is about . There are many activities that I am involved in , in the life of the church . God is so clever in His way in planning .... I have to giggle . I have amazing Pastors Pete and Meg Dover ...they have shaken the core values in the operation of my mind . I could never look at people the same again . In our church we accept every person from all walks of life ... There is not one person that is without treasure in their soul. I will give you a quick over view of what I do and over time if you are still interested then I will be able to fill you in on testimonies as they come .
There are many departments in the life of the church ...my main role is being a children's minister . I do weekly planning for the kids ministry . I love to do heaps of art projects as it is very therapeutic for children who have been through trauma . Our church is in a low in-come area and a lot of children that I work with have been emotionally stressed . I believe it is very important to teach these kids how to have relationship with Jesus ...He is very real and wants to speak with them . Kids come in with all sorts of stories ....most beautiful kids come through my class . Family life for them is often unpredictable ....I always make sure that they know that they are special ...it is only a tiny reflection of how truly pleased the Heavenly Father is with them . I hug them like its the last time I'll see them in many cases is proves to be true due to home life getting out of hand . I might be the only person that has the time to celebrate them ...I have shed many silent tears when I know that these children are going into unknown situations .
I am involved in two youth program's that are running.... I am a youth leader on Fridays nights and help run a Tuesday night Bible study for year 11 and 12 . WE HAVE FUN !!!! May 17th we are taking the kids to a youth camp . God is moving amongst the young people . Beautiful relationships are being established . Aussie kids are AWESOME . There is no place I 'd rather be . They tickle my heart with delight .
As a church we believe in showing love in the practical way !!! I am a volunteer with Thursday SALT BOX , families can come get free clothes, hampers, bread and a hot meal . The leadership of our church mingle with the people and have a cuppa and some bikkies. Relationship !! We show people that we care . It's is a great place to meet new families .
Our goal as a church is to bring people into relationship with Jesus . There is an awesome ministry called Sozo . I am involved on the Sozo team and seen amazing things happen . Jesus is speaking !!
We will be going to Hillsong in July . I have my ticket paid for still in need of funds for the accommodation .
